Capitol City Baptist has many different ministries to involve everyone in serving the Lord, while enjoying personal spiritual growth.
We have a place for each member of your family, whether an infant in the nursery or a senior in an adult class. There is small group fellowship and teaching based upon sound Bible doctrine.
CCBS is here to help Christian parents educate their children in the ways of the Lord. Standard classroom settings are available K3 through 12th grades. Extracurricular activities include field trips, dramas and concerts, volleyball, basketball, and soccer athletic teams. As a private school, we do not receive government assistance, and tuition is charged for attendance. In order to make attending possible for as many students as possible, the church provides much of the financial support as well as the spiritual direction of the school.
This long time ministry includes our deaf friends in worship and fellowship. Sunday services are held in their own chapel. A dedicated minister leads this ministry that reaches out to the deaf in the Lansing area.
Over 70 missions and missionary projects are supported each year, prayerfully and financially, to help reach our world with the life saving message of Jesus Christ. We also offer the opportunity to serve on a short-term mission team, each year, in order for our congregation to be able to experience foreign missions personally.
The 49er's love to fellowship and serve the Lord while in their golden years. Though retired from the Lord's work. Please come and join them Sunday mornings for Bible study, for weekly fellowship lunches, and monthly activities.
We aim to reach the youth of our area with the life changing message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We provide an exciting program of activities that teens enjoy while teaching them Bible truths and principles to help them grow and mature in their Christian walk.
A fellowship breakfast is held the last Saturday of each month, for men of all ages. Friends and visitors are encouraged to attend. Other opportunities are available on a special even basis.
Marriage & Singles Ministries
Activities and classes for married couples and single individuals are provided through the Sunday School Department.
Several opportunities are offered each month for women to fellowship and grow together: bi-weekly daytime mom's group, bi-weekly evening Bible study, monthly ladies fellowship meetings and special outings.
The Bus Ministry is here to assist those that need transportation to our church services. Routes are run in the Lansing area on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Please call ahead to schedule.
From the very beginning of a child's life there is a special place for children at Capitol City Baptist. A staff of dedicated nursery workers, Sunday School and Junior Church teachers and Wednesday Kids Club leaders help your children learn more than just the basics of knowing God and living the Christian life.
Someone once wrote "We are to build bridges, not walls". When it comes to building bridges in relationships, our Care Ministry has been a tremendous asset. Team members are building bridges through prayer, personal contact, greeting first time attendees, cards, letters, and emails. Our Mission is to carry on the role of caring for others, in the spirit of Christian love.
For the student of the Word that wants to obtain a greater knowledge of the scriptures, CCBBI offers a one year diploma in Pastoral Studies and/or Christian Ministry. A three year degree in Theology, and a four year bachelor degree in Religious Ministries is also available with several majors.
